If you are a student enrolled in our Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree programs, you will have a unique opportunity to augment your real-world knowledge and skills by pursuing a dual concentration in a second area of interest by taking just a few more courses.

This Dual Concentration option offers you the opportunity to pursue another résumé-enhancing qualification to your industry-current academic accomplishments.

Am I eligible for the Dual Concentration option?
If you are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program, you are eligible to pursue a dual concentration. Please contact your Academic Advisor or download the AIU Tuition Schedule for full eligibility details.

How many concentrations can I choose from?
As a BBA or MBA student, your first concentration is included in the degree program in which you are enrolled. For your second concentration, you may choose any other concentration that is offered for your degree program.

How much does the Dual Concentration option cost?
The cost of the AIU Dual Concentration option is based upon the number of courses required to earn a Dual Concentration and varies according to the course of study you choose.
  • BBA graduates can add a second résumé-enhancing BBA concentration by taking 2 to 4 more courses, depending upon the concentration selected.
  • MBA graduates can add a second career-specific MBA concentration by taking just 2 additional courses.

Are dual concentrations offered in disciplines other than Business Administration?
No. At this time, AIU only offers the Dual Concentration option to students enrolled in a BBA or MBA degree program.

How and when can I sign up for the Dual Concentration option?
If you are in the last quarter of your initial BBA or MBA degree program, you may begin the process of pursuing a Dual Concentration with Student Affairs. You may not participate in the Dual Concentration option prior to this time.
